The Financial Advisers Act established a Commissioner for Financial Advisers and required this person to appoint an independent Code Committee of between seven and 11 members.
We are responsible for developing a draft Code of Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers.
The Code Committee has the following 8 members:

Professional and independent director
Former Executive Chair and Director of GIO Financial Services Australia and chair of the Institute of Financial Advisers of New Zealand (IFA)
Pip Dunphy, Auckland
Independent director
Current positions include: Chair, Mint Asset Management; Director, New Zealand Post; Director, Crown Health Financing Agency; Director, Accident Compensation Corporation; Council member, AUT and Monetary Policy Adviser to the Governor of the Reserve Bank.

22 years experience in stockbroking/investment adviser industry.
David Ireland, Wellington
